Benchmarking 4 metrics vs. comps

pitchbook benchmarking across four metrics page chart

While each of these bar charts can be easily created using typical charting tools, arranging them on a page is another task entirely. By using Pellucid to create this content, you can pick four different metrics for a subject company, comps and/or index, and customize items such as how bars are sorted or shaded. The page is produced as a single item, ready to be added to your presentation materials.

Share price vs. comps over time (small multiples)

Small multiple charts are great for breaking out the performance of a subject company and comps so each can be easily seen on a separate canvas, which in this example is curated to display share price over time. Since share price levels are not comparable, small multiples offer a better visual display as the subject is rebased to the specific comp's starting price in each canvas giving an apples-to-apples comparison. The uncurated versions of this chart allow any available metric to be selected.

Benchmarking analyst recommendations vs. comps

This chart shows the buy/hold/sell ratings for a subject company and its comps in both absolute and proportional terms, using a compound chart. The left charts show the aggregate ratings for each entity, whereas the right panel displays the same data but as a percentage break down. The two exhibits complement each other to provide a detailed view of how analysts rate a peer set.
